Someone suggested that I should show how I make my origami piece from scratch. Good idea. So I try it with my latest creation, gryphon. I take pictures every once in a while and I hope the transitions shown here are smooth enough.
For those interested, let me guide you through the process. I began by dividing the paper into 3rd followed by pleating the raw edges. Taking reference points in the initial step is crucial for base making, it took me 1 hours to finish pre-creasing. Then I collapse the model to form the base, notice how simple the base shape is, 3 points sticking from one end and 5 from the other end. 5 is the anterior, 2 points for legs, 2 points for wings and 1 point for head.
Then came the final shaping, first I took care of the 4 legs, carefully narrowing the claws. Then I color change the tip of the tail and finally I fold the eagle head. Ok, everything is in place and now, to pose the gryphon as cool as possible
From square to finish took me around 5 hours.
Please, show us more stages or a video, i really want to do it !
Thanks
You should make a diagram with the steps, 'cuz that is just beautifull.
And actually it will help me score a few points with my girl, xD. Just saying.
