Artist's Comments

Finally, I managed to make a gryphon, influenced mainly by lots of great gryphon deviation in DA but still lack of something... anyway, I am quite satisfied :) Please let me know your suggestions and comments to improve this one.

This model was made using the same base as my Firedrake . You can view the making process of this gryphon.
Oh yes, special thanks to for helping me with this cool photo framing  for both this one and the making process.

Now, about the model, I first spread the wings open but no, to conventional, so I fold them down. I like the color change of the tail tip, the wings and the beak. There are lots of origami dragons and origami pegasus out there and some are very good and original which become the benchmark, the precursor for others to create. However, I rarely seen any complex gryphon created so far, so I hope mine can be an original one :D

By popular demand, I present to you Gryphon by ~guspath. I think this deviant just busted that 'no paper can be folded more than seven times' rule. It's just amazing! (Featured by `dedredhed)

Wow. I've never seen a gryphon origami before. It's so beautiful, with the shiny little gold parts (especially the tail tip and the beak).

Haha :) Thank's I am still struggling to find out why the preview is not shown???
:iconguspath:
Yes it is now showing, maybe the preview file too big :). Thank's, yes me too, gryphon origami, that is near to realistic is rare that is why I try to make it first :D
:iconguspath:
Thank you for visiting and the comment :D
:iconselectiveamnesia:
:stare: I would so pay to have one of those! Have you ever thought of selling your art?
:iconguspath:
Hehe :D Thank you very much. I have to thank for the suggestion on picture framing, it really has a good impact factor.

Yes I can sell :D because origami itself is highly reproducible so I can make 10 gryphons of same quality if I want to. But of course, origami is still paper so it is not as rigid as it looks on DA, but I usually paint the final model to make it stiff, but still it is light weight not heavy like sculpture :D Thank's for your interest in buying origami :)
